Since the addition of the “Ad privacy feature” to the Chrome web browser, it has been observed that the application will freeze if specific URLAllowList or URLBlocklist registry keys are utilized to lock down the browser.

To prevent this window  from appearing and causing issues, we suggest adding another entry to the “Additional Registry Values” profile section, as per below:

Registry Location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Registry Key: SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome
Value Name: PrivacySandboxPromptEnabled
Value Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 0

Delete

Note

When making URLAllowlist and URLBlocklist entries, please be sure that each block is separated and not interrupted by other types of registry entries so that all your URLBlocklist entries are together. Afterward, your URLAllowlist entries are all together as well.

Different registry entries in the middle of an Allowlist or Blocklist can cause issues.
